  3. NAMING OF A MEMBER
  4. Members who disregard the authority of the Chair, or 
  5. persistently abuse the House's rules, may be 'named' by 
  6. the Speaker. This is almost the only time an MP is 
  7. addressed by their own name - and leads to a Motion to 
  8. suspend the MP in question 'from the service of the 
  9. House'. If the Motion is carried, the MP will be barred 
  10. for five sitting days. For a second offence in the same 
  11. session, suspension lasts 20 days. If a member refuses to 
  12. leave - and then resists - the suspension will last for the 
  13. remainder of the session.
